Lavera Vandel

LaVera Peters-Vandel, 97, of Independence, MO passed away April 22, 2008 at the Rosewood Health Center. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO, with a service to immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. LaVera was born June 12, 1910 in Jasper County, IL to Frank and Katie White. She was a life-long member of the Community of Christ Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edmund L. Peters (1940); and her second husband, Sanford Vandel (1988). LaVera is survived by her daughter, Eunice Duddleston; brother, Ivan D. White; as well as numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
