Patricia Vaughn

Patricia A. Vaughn, 69, Wichita, KS, formerly of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Aug. 31, 2010. Services will be at 2 pm, Sat., Sept. 4, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO; interment at Edwardsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 – 8 pm, Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Patricia was born Oct. 26, 1940 in Kansas City, MO. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who loved everyone unconditionally. She was always there for those in need. She was a volunteer at the Women’s Shelter and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. Patricia was an amazing artist, pet lover and an
avid traveler. She was and is an angel to us all and will be greatly missed by friends, family and neighbors.
Patricia is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Lawrence Vaughn of the home; son Kevin Vaughn, Montrose, MO; daughters Arlene Vaughn, Liberty, MO; Christina Lyle, Wichita, KS; sisters Betty Simpson, Independence, MO; Dorothy Thomas, Port St. Lucie, FL; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
