Vera Louise Zink

Vera Louise Zink, 91 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at home. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., with services at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial to follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. Louise was born August 26, 1932 in Independence, MO to Muriel W. and Thelma I. (Ham) Andes. She was a life-long area resident, graduating from William Chrisman High School. She was a beloved wife and mother and was an accountant at Herald House Publishing from 1965-1998. She is survived by; a son, Robert R. Zink (Jenny) of Independence; a daughter, Brenda Eggert (Steve) of Lee’s Summit; 5 siblings, Myron Andes, Sharon Bazzell, Janet Stevenson (Carl); Gayle Hawley and Joyce Baucom; 5 grandchildren, Vincent Zink (Holly), TiaMarie Maggard (Alex), Alisha, Cody and Aiden Eggert; 5 great grandchildren, Sophia, Cadence, Elliana, Jaxon and Dominick and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her husband Raymond H. Zink on December 13, 2001.
