Bill Vickery, 67, of Kansas City, passed away Monday, March 11th 2013. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16th at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave Independence. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at 56 Cemetery in Arkansas.
Bill was born July 2nd 1945 in Fifty-Six Arkansas to Zeke and Lena (House) Vickery. As the nineth of ten children he was raised by his eight older siblings. He attended a local high school in Mountain View, AR. Bill served in the US Army. He was later disabled but still enjoyed fishing and hunting. In 2003, he married his beloved Sharon (O’Dell). He is loved and will be missed; especially by his dog, Looty.
Bill is survived by wife, Sharon of the home; sons, Steven Mansil-Vickery (Tami) and Darin Mansil-Vickery (Sheli) all of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Debbie Sue and Belinda Christine of Arkansas; brother J.L. Vickery of Missouri City, MO; sisters, Velva Tremmell of Liberty, MO; Willa Dean Nolan of Mountain View, AR; Betty Crawford of Calico Rock, AR; and Flossie (formerly Vickery). He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers the family encourages contributions to Gashland Baptist Church; 601 NE Barry Rd, Kansas City, MO 64118.
