Victoria “Jeanette” (Fryer) McDaniel, 75, of Independence, MO passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel with burial to follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the chapel. Victoria was born February 20, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to James Earl and Nellie Mae (Long) Fryer and has been a lifelong area resident. She worked for Ingredion for 41 years until she retired.
Victoria was a woman of many talents, but her heart truly belonged to her love of crafting. Her handmade treasures serve as a lasting embrace for her family. When she wasn’t crafting, she had a love for food and cooking. She would often be found in the company of her beloved dogs, Jasmine, Peanut, and Delilah who were her constant shadows and most faithful friends. Victoria loved the excitement of the casino and lottery tickets, but her greatest jackpot was her family and all of her grandchildren. She was the steady heart of her home, a woman whose love was as boundless as her creativity. “She painted our lives with love, bet on the beauty of every day, and left us all a little richer for having known her.”
She is survived by; her daughter, Kimberly Brand and husband Richard of Independence, MO; 2 brothers, Dennis E. Fryer and Eddie E. Fryer both of Independence, MO; 4 grandchildren, Victoria McCoart and husband Derek, Erica Radley and husband Trevor, Johnathan J.M. Garcia, Christian A. Garcia, and 9 great grandchildren, Aidan, Gunner, Arabella, Liliana, Micah, Dominick, Aliyana, Mary, and Miguel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, James Earl Fryer and mother, Nellie Mae (Long) Fryer, and her brothers, Jimmy R. Fryer, John W. Fryer (Billy), and Michael W. Fryer.
