It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Virginia (Ginger) Lea Etzenhouser of Lee’s Summit, MO. Ginger passed away on 6/1/23 at the age of 77.

 

Ginger is preceded in death by her mother Imogene Sharp, her father Edward Sharp, her brother Edward Sharp Jr., and her sister Gloria Walk.

 

She is survived by her brother Rick Sharp (Dot Sharp), Daughter Julie Brown-Potts, Son-in-law Mario Potts, granddaughters Taylor Blackwell and Sofia Curran, Honorary grandson Derrick Morrow, Great grandchildren, Isaiah Blackwell, Kennedi Blackwell, Leah Blackwell, Nevaeh Blackwell and Jordyn Bivins and Honorary daughter Kristy Paialii.

 

Ginger is also survived by many who called her “Mom” and “Nonnie” not by blood but by love. Ginger was the most generous soul and will be missed by many. Her death has impacted many beyond belief.

 

Cremation is planned and a Celebration of her Life gathering will be from 2-4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052.
