Helen Voytek

Helen Voytek, 93, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Monday, March 23, 2009 at her home. Helen was born Dec. 25, 1915 in Hastings, PA to Ludwig and Victoria Szumal. She worked in food service for many years as a waitress and caterer. She was a faithful member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Blue Springs. Helen was an avid gardener who enjoyed working in her yard.
Helen is survived by her children: Loretta Marron and husband Jim and Edward Voytek; grandchildren: Sandra Marron, James Marron, and Mark Marron; and great-grandchildren: Lauren Byrne, Andrew Marron, and Matthew Marron. As the best mother, grandmother, and “bobchi” in the world, she will be missed by her family who loved her.
A Mass of Resurrection was held on Wednesday, March 25 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church; burial was at Blue Springs Cemetery. The family suggest contributions be made to Crossroads Hospice, 9237 Ward Parkway #300, Kansas City, MO 64114.
