Robert Mason Wade, 80, Independence, MO passed away Friday, May 24, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO 64052. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Floral Hill Mausoleum.
Robert was born October 10, 1932 in Murray, KY and grew up in Independence, MO the son of Ernest and Myrtle (Fouch) Gibson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Robert was employed with Kansas City Power & Light, KCP&L for over 30 years, retiring as a lead cable splicer. He was a member of the IBEW Local Union 124. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Wade in 2009; and sister, Joanne Scott. Survivors include his sons, Robert Michael Wade, and William John Wade and his wife Pamela; grandchildren, Kayla and Kelsie Wade.
