Shawn Walker

Shawn Alan Walker, 39, of Independence, MO peacefully passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3726 Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Cremation to follow services. Shawn was born April 6, 1971 in Kansas City, MO to Ron and Mary (Stacy) Walker. He graduated from Lakeview State School in 1992 and was an eager and dedicated volunteer for Harvester’s Kansas City Food Bank and Meals on Wheels. Shawn is survived by his parents Ronnie and Mary Walker; brother Jason Walker; aunts and uncles Mr. & Mrs. Larry Walker, Mr. & Mrs. Steve Steffes, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Counti, Mr. & Mrs. Arnold Walker, Joseph Stacy and his beloved aunt Beverly Winfrey; and by many cousins. Shawn captured the hearts of anyone he met with his infectious laughter and love for others. He was the joy of his mom and dad’s life for 39 years. Shawn will be missed immensely by everyone.
