Obituary

Wallace Gene Ellsworth passed away May 29th 2026. He was born on January 13, 1936, in Quitman, Texas, to Roy and Gladys Ellsworth.

Wallace proudly served his country in the United States Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He spent 32 years with AT&T, where he held the position of Supervisor in the Engineering Department before retiring. Following his retirement from AT&T, Wallace started a second career as a detention officer working for the Collin County Sheriff’s Office and retired after 16 years.

In his free time, Wallace enjoyed spending time with family and friends, learning new things, watching old westerns and smoking cigars.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Ellsworth; his daughter, Rhonda, and her husband Kevin Valentine of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; his son, Greg Ellsworth, and wife Erin of McKinney, Texas; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his brother, Don Ellsworth, and wife Kathleen of Mineola, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews.
