William Wallace

William Wade “Billy” Wallace, 73, of Liberty, MO passed away, Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Liberty Hospital. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Mount Washington Cemetery with full military honors. William was born May 3, 1939 in Slater, MO. Billy proudly served in the US Army rom 1957 until he retired as Sargent in 1976. During his service he served three tours of duty during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star, Army Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Purple Heart and Master Parachutist Badge and was a member of the Army Rangers. He was also a member of the Liberty Veterans of Foreign War. He is survived by a cousin Clyda Ruth Thomas and her family of Liberty, MO.
