Ollena Mae Wallenda, 71, Independence, MO passed away Monday, April 29, 2013.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. 64052. A celebration of Ollena’s life will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Ollena was born March 24, 1942 in Oklahoma the daughter of Ollen and Virginia (Ady) Lairson. She worked as Assistant Postmaster for the Post Office. Ollena enjoyed gardening, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Franklin and Lloyd Lairson; sister, Virginia; and her parents.
Survivors include her children, Britt Lairson, Tonja Chapman and husband Duane, Craig Ownbey, Chris Ownbey and wife Jeraldine, and Robin Henshaw; six grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Lillie Smith, and Mary McCrae.
