Delbert L. Waller, 84, of Independence, MO passed away January 15, 2015. A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 20th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO. Delbert was born on July 10, 1930 in Kansas City, MO to Harvey and Lelia Waller. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Almeda Louise Waller; sister, Jean Schmitz (Ed); brother, Cecil Waller; nieces, Sharon and Carol; sons, Steven Lee Waller (Teresa) of Grandview, MO; David Lyn Waller of Pleasant Hill, MO; Timothy Lane Waller of Pleasant Hill, MO; and Michael Lance Waller (Laura) of Leavenworth, KS; grandsons, Steven Christopher, John, and Logan Waller; Adam Wilson, Dustin, Ethan, and Hunter Waller; great grandchildren, Tierney, Mallory, and Mia Waller, Madison, Paxton, and Corbin Wilson, Dustin Waller, Jr., Mason James Waller, Corbin Smith, and Logan Lee Waller; and great great granddaughter Aubrey Waller. Delbert was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Kansas City Terminal Railway and Guy’s Foods. The family would like to give a special thanks to Vitas Hospice and Kindred Hospital for their service and kindness in their time of need.
