Christine Ward

Christine Ward, 87, Independence MO passed away May 5, 2013. Services will be 10 am, Thursday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Floral Hills East. Visitation will begin at 9 am before the service at the chapel. Christine was born Oct. 18, 1925 in Cleveland, AR and graduated from Scotland (AR) High School. She moved to the Kansas City area in 1953. She was a member of the 39th Street Church of Christ in Independence and was very active in church. She taught Sunday School to children for over thirty years. She enjoyed reading but most of all loved taking care of her family. Christine is survived by her husband of sixty-two years Louie K. Ward, of the home; son Gary R. Ward, Lee’s Summit, MO; daughter Karen Logan and husband Ron; grandson Nathan Logan, all of Blue Springs, MO; sister Winnie McQuain, Morrilton, AR and many nieces and nephews.
