Genny Watson

Genny Watson, 77, of Independence, MO passed away January 12, 2009 at The Groves. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. rosary on Thursday, January 15, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Genny was born January 4, 1932 to Richard and Angela (Lally) Keating. A former Mary Kay Cosmetics Director for many years, Genny was passionate about volunteering at her church and loved to travel. In 1990, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Robert Watson. She is survived by her two daughters, Patty Baker and husband Mike, Mary Pace and husband Keith; eight grandchildren, Brandon and Jacqueline Baker, Andrew, Meghan, Colleen, Ethan and Connor Pace, Erika Hopkins and husband Bryan; one great grandchild, Bryce Hopkins; and one sister, Dorothy Ann VanHoet. She will be dearly missed.
