Robert Wehling

Robert E. Wehling, 80, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Golden Living Center. Robert was born November 30, 1928 in Long Beach, CA to Paul and Mabel (Vallier) Wehling. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Mound Grove Cemetery. Memorial services will be at Waldo Avenue Restoration Branch at a later date. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from TWA in 1989 after 36 years of service. Robert was an active and faithful member of the church where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed trains, planes and cars and was an avid “collector”. Mr. Wehling is survived by his daughter Clarissa Joy Wehling; son Randal E. Wehling. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Joy Wehling in ’04; and by two brothers.
