Edgar John Wehmeyer, 83, Independence, died Sunday, April 23, 2006 at his home. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; son John and wife Willadee; granddaughters Melissa and husband Chris Roberts; Sheila and husband Brad Martin and Danielle Chambers; and great grandchildren, Laura and Tim Bowling and James and Christopher Chambers. He is also survived by his brothers, William, Robert and Richard, and a sister Geneve Carlson. Edgar was a 32nd degree Mason and a Army veteran of WWII.
