Sandra C. Wehr (Labay)

Sandra Wehr, 53 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away September 2, 2015. A visitation will be held from 2-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, with a 3:30 p.m. Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Sandra was born February 8, 1962 in the Philippines and was the oldest of five siblings. She moved to the United States in 1995. She worked for Hy-Vee in Lee’s Summit for 13 years. Sandra married Christopher Wehr, July 21, 1995 and recently celebrated 20 wonderful loving years of marriage. Sandra had a passion for cooking and shared this passion with all of her family, friends and co-workers constantly. Sandra enjoyed life and always making the people around her happy; she succeeded in making people laugh and smile daily through her funny jokes and kind words. Sandra was a dedicated, loving, selfless mother and wife. Sandra is survived by her husband, Chris, and two daughters, Cassie and Alyssa. Four brothers, her in-laws, Cecil and Kay Wehr of Lawrence, KS, sister in-law, Teresa Wehr, Phoenix, AZ, sister in-law Laura VanAlstine, Lawrence, KS, sister in-law Marlena Manternach (Neil), Monticello, IA, sister in-law Valarie Rooks (Mike), Memphis, TN, brother in-law Chad Wehr (Esther), Overland Park, KS, brother in-law Craig Wehr (Ashley), Wellsville, KS. 9 Nieces, 1 nephew and 1 great-niece. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Zenaidi Labay and Araceli Caceres. The family suggests memorial contributions in Sandra’s honor to be made to the St. Luke’s Hospice House.
