Marie Wennersten

Marie Wennersten, 91, of Independence, MO, passed away, Sunday, October 10, 2004 at the Regency Care Center. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2004 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday at the chapel. Marie was born August 17, 1913 in Lincoln, NE toAdam and Elizabeth Gies. She spent her early life in Lincoln graduating from public schools there. She worked as a deputy assessor for Jackson County for a number of years before she retired in 1975. She was an active volunteer at Kaleidoscope for 10 years with her friends in the "Monday Morning� group. She was married to Carl Wennersten on June 7, 1933; he died on June 25, 1994. Survivors include; a daughter, Elizabeth Wennersten of Independence, Mo; a son, Robert Wennersten of Los Angeles, CA; a brother-in-law, Harry Crespy of Albuquerque, NM; 3 nephews, Joel Crespy, Harry A.
