Joyce West

Joyce West, 68, Independence, MO passed away March 19, 2009. Services will be at 2 pm, Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Committal services will be at 11 am, Monday at Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, MO. Visitation will be from noon �" 2 pm, Sunday at the funeral home.
Joyce was born April 1, 1940 in McBain, MO to Elmo and Susie (Crane) Ward. She worked at the Ford Claycomo plant for eighteen years and retired in 1995. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and UAW Local #249. She enjoyed making ceramics, collecting Madame Alexander dolls, Elvis and her grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband George Dooley; daughter Carol Roxanne Dooley; brothers Elmo, Jr. and Johnny; sisters Elizabeth, Louella and Elsie. She is survived by husband Lester West, of the home; son Brad Dooley, Independence, MO; step-daughters Karen Ziegler and husband Jim, St. Louis, MO; Pamela Daniels and husband Ron, Willard, MO; step-sons Lester David West, Jr., Atlanta, GA; Richard Allen West, Springfield, MO; step-daughters Sherri Lynn Bay; Michelle Pastor and husband Tony, all of Springfield, MO; sister Nadine Pearl Quiesenberry, Texas; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
