Nell White

Nell M. White, 82, Independence, MO passed away Aug. 26, 2009. Graveside services will be at 11:30 am, Monday, Aug. 31, 2009 at Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 am �" 11:00 am, Monday at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
Nell was born Jan. 10, 1927 in Rixie, AR. She was a billing clerk for the City of Independence for nearly fifteen years. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church for over forty years. She was very involved with the church pantry and community outreach program and attended church every Sunday until her health prevented her from attending. She and her husband, Whitey, loved Lake Lotawana and lived there for a few years.
Nell was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Edward “Whitey” White and sister Dean Easley. She is survived by daughters Sandra G. Nester, Gladstone, MO; Nancy Childs, Lee’s Summit, MO; sisters Linda Hanely, Fremont, CA; Delores McGee, Batesville, AR; brother Charles Rogers, Lakewood, CA; grandson Rusty Banks, VA and five great-grandchildren.
