Bernice E. White Tool, 97, died peacefully November 11, 2011 at Village House Hospice in Lee’s Summit, MO. Private burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Bernice was born July 11, 1914 in Fairplay, MO to Earl and Josie (Hudson) Brewer, and was a resident of Kansas City most of her life. She worked as a beautician and later as co-owner of Leonard’s Restaurant. Mrs. Tool is survived by her son Steve White (Mary Pat Henry) of Kansas City, MO; daughter Linda White (Mike Day) of Tuczon, AZ; grandchildren Paul Maasdorf (Alison) of Boulder, CO, David White (Nancy) of Prairie Village, KS, Heather Goodwillie (Tim), Marisa Balbach-Henry and Jaime Henry-White all of Kansas City, MO; great-grandchildren Cat and Eno Goodwillie, Avery and Carson Maasdorf. She was preceded in death by her husbands Leonard “Whitey” White, Reed L. Tool; and her sister Geraldine Rouleau. Her competitive spirit will be fondly remembered by her family.
