Patricia Whitson

Patricia A. “Pat” Whitson, 72, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Villages of Jackson Creek. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2010 at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington. Pat was born August 11, 1938 in Sugar Creek, MO to Carl and Rose (Stowell) Stinnett. She took early retirement from Baird & Sons Office Supply. Pat enjoyed square dancing and watching the KC Chiefs in her spare time. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her world. Mrs. Whitson is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Clifford Whitson; children Carrie Sue Eaton and husband Mike, Bill Whitson and wife Shelley, Dennis Whitson and friend Teresa, Brenda Byrd and husband Dan, Cynthia Whitson; mother Rose Stinnett; sister Sharon Walker; brother Kelley Stinnett; grandchildren Chris, Melissa, Carmen, Amanda, Brad, Kelly, Lindsey, Lorrie and DeNae; 15 great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her father Carl Stinnett; brothers Vernon, Darryl, Roger, and “Bud” Thomas Stinnett; great-granddaughter Brooklyn.
