Frances Wiebeck

Frances “Granny” Wiebeck, 95, Independence, MO. passed away peacefully April 25, 2009. Memorial services will be at 6:30 pm, Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; cremation. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Crossroads Hospice or the Garden of Angels at Good Shepherd Christian Church, 111 S.E. Woods Chapel Road, Blue Springs, MO 64015.
Frances was born Feb. 17, 1914 in Wickes, AR. She moved to the Kansas City area in 1929 and Independence in 1965. She worked at Nelly Don in the 1970’s and loved sewing and quilting. She was a member of the Englewood Assembly of God Church. She especially loved little children and her grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Elmer E. Wiebeck; daughter Doris Virginia Horton; great-granddaughter Christy Ault-Shipley; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by son Robert Wiebeck and wife Sharon; daughter Elaine Sergeant and husband Walt, Wellington, MO; eight grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
