Elmer Wilcox

Elmer David Wilcox, 60, passed away Friday September 4, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Memorial Services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Ft. Osage Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 6-7:00 p.m. Cremation. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. David was born July 3, 1949 in Kansas City, KS to Charles and Rose (Landon) Wilcox. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Wilcox retired from General Motors after 32 years of service in 2004. David is survived by his wife Jill (Haffa) Wilcox; daughter Melinda Deason and husband Vince; step-children Shawn, Holly and Ben; grandchildren Nehemiah, Malachi, Taylor, Devon, Izac and Grace; three sisters and two brothers; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter Melissa in ’92.
