Patricia Wilcox

Patricia Jean Wilcox, 80, of Grain Valley, MO went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Kansas City Hospice House. Services will be 12:00 noon Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Mt. Washington United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11-12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Kansas City Hospice House. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Patricia was born September 16, 1928 in Long Island, KS to Lyndell and Vadis (Gebhard) Thomas. She was an active and faithful member of Mt. Washington United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wilcox retired from Western Electric in 1984 after 23 years of service. Pat loved her family dearly! She was known for her beautiful flower gardens. Mrs. Wilcox is survived by her son Steve Wilcox and wife Barbara; daughters Paula Whiting; Brenda Sackman and husband Dwight; grandchildren Paul, Ian, Asher, Joe, Jamie, Jeff, Janine, and Mike; great-grandchildren Aden, Jakob, Jakson and Josie; sisters LaVerne, Elouise, Mary Lou and Linda; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Paul Wilcox in ’98.
