C. Wilkinson, Sr.

February 16, 1930 — September 21, 2009

C. Keith Wilkinson, Sr. 79, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. A Masonic Service will be said at 6:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Keith was born February 16, 1930 in Bates City, MO the son of Dale M. and Maggie (Hare) Wilkinson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Keith was employed for over 30 years with Missouri Gas & Energy, retiring in 1992 as a Superintendent. He was a lifetime member of the Mount Washington Masonic Lodge #614, where he served as Past Master and was reelected last week as Secretary, having served the position for 25 years. Keith was a member of the First Church of God. He enjoyed working on old cars and especially loved being with his family. Keith will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Trinity McGhee; brother, J.C. Wilkinson; sister, Virginia Noland; and his parents.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy (Lewis) Wilkinson of 58 years; children, Roxanna L. Pruitt and her husband Mike of Jacksonville, AR; Kim K. Jones; Charles K. Wilkinson, Jr.; Stacie A. Phillips and her husband Daniel; James E. Wilkinson; and Michael D. Wilkinson and his wife Amy all of Independence; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and sister, Joann Huber of Grain Valley, MO.
