Larry Willers

Larry Dwayne Willers, 65 of Independence, MO passed away, Thursday, October 4, 2012 at his home. Cremation is planned with a memorial gathering to be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at the Greenton Cemetery in Odessa, MO. Larry was born Sept. 23, 1947 in Emporia, KS to Harold K. and Inez Marie (Frakes) Willers. He was a veteran of the US Army and proudly served during Vietnam in the late 1960’s. Following his military service he went to work as a steelworker for Armco Steel until the plant closed in 2001. He enjoyed airplanes, dune buggy’s, fishing, boating, camping and working on cars. He was a member of the local steelworkers union. He was married to Victoria Ann Willers; she preceded him in death on May 5, 2007. Survivors include; his children, Jeff Willers and Tami Miles of Independence, MO and 3 grandchildren, Samantha Miles, Tristan Miles and Chase Miles and his 2 dogs, Miss Kitty and Miss Foxy..
