Dennis M.J. Willett, 30, Independence, MO died unexpectedly May 22, 2013. Services will be 10 am, Friday, May 31 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday, May 30 at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Masonic Home, 6033 Masonic Drive, Columbia, MO 65202 or a blood donation in his honor at your local Community Blood Center. Denny was born Nov. 9, 1982 in Independence, MO and was a lifelong resident of the area. He attended Blue Springs South High School and was currently attending Blue River Junior College. He had worked at the Econo Lodge and Quality Inn on Noland Road for the last couple of years. He loved playing Madden on X-Box, the Royals, the NFL, the NBA, March Madness and shooting pool. He was a member of the Patriots Little League football team which won three consecutive Super Bowls and went 27-0 over that time. He enjoyed a wide range of music. He also loved movies – especially comedies. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #76 in Independence. Denny was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Crick, Sr. He is survived by his mother Cassie Crick, Blue Springs, MO; father Dennis Willett, Raytown, MO; sister Shelby Willett, Lee’s Summit, MO; grandmother Sandy Crick, Independence, MO; grandparents Marvin & Mary Willett, Stockton, MO: and many other family members and friends.
