William Raymond "Bill" Trefz

Bill passed away on June 1, 2023, at his daughter’s home in Independence, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family. He will be laid to rest at Mound Grove Cemetery next to his loving spouse of 51 years, Jeanne Trefz, who preceded him in death 25 years ago.

Bill was born on May 2, 1924, in Eudora, Kansas. Bill met his bride and married in April of 1946. He served in the army at Fort Riley, Kansas and then graduated from Kansas City Western Dental College in 1947. Bill and Jeanne lived in Independence where they practiced dentistry together for 36 years.

Bill is survived by his son, William Trefz, and his daughter, Jan Rynard, and four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Throughout his 99 years, he touched countless lives through his faith and friendships. We take comfort in knowing that we will all be reunited in Heaven someday. Poppy, you have left behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.
