Connie Lou Williams, 64, passed away on July 14, 2015 in Independence, MO.
A memorial visitation will be held at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO, on Saturday, July 18, from 2-4:00pm.
Connie was born on March 31, 1951 in Mexico, MO, to Homer and Evelyn (Landrum) Worley, as one of five children. She graduated from Van Horn High School in the class of 1969, and later attended UMKC. She met Walter James Williams during her time in college, and they married in 1972. To this union were born two children. In addition to taking care of her family, she worked for the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority for 17 years.
She is remembered as being a fun-loving jokester, a captivating storyteller, and genuinely caring mother and friend. She loved the Kansas City Royals, and never missed a game.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Walter; her father, Homer; and her brother, Dennis Worley.
Survivors include son, Greg Williams; daughter, Kelly Elizabeth Walker and husband Steve; grandchildren, Douglas Williams, Taliah Tofa, and Chase Bunce; mother, Evelyn; sisters, Sandra Childers and husband Ron, Cheryl Gondran, Karen LaMartina and husband Tim, and Ida Worley; her beloved grand-dogs, Odin and Pia; and a host of family and friends.
