James "Jim" Williams

James "Jim� Williams, 76, of Lee�s Summit, MO went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 28, 2004 with his wife and children at his side. Services will be 7:00 pm Friday, January 30, 2004 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:30 until 7:00. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Saturday in Olive Branch Cemetery in Syracuse, MO. Jim was born April 29, 1927 in Carrollton, KY to John J. and Hallie Mae (Brown) Williams. He served during World War II in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Williams retired as an electrician from Kansas City Power and Light. The joy of his life was serving the Lord. He was an ordained Deacon, taught Sunday school, and was active in youth and children's ministry for many years. Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna (Yarnell) Williams; daughter Waukita, son James and his wife Mona, daughter Mitzi and her husband Larry; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Richard and Joseph Williams and a son-in-law Greg Price.
