Lois Madeline Williams, 85 of Independence, MO passed away, Monday Feb. 14, 2011. Cremation with a Memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th ST., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be 6 to 8pm Thursday at the chapel. Inurnment will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Lois was born October 7, 1925 in Macon County, MO to Crawford and Mable (Elliott) Lindley. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed gambling especially playing Keno. She was married to Lester D. Williams on October 10, 1945; he preceded her in death in 2005. Survivors include; 3 daughters, Mary Morgan and husband Robert of Liberty, MO, Jackie Owens and husband Larry of Berthoud, CO and Peggy Ortega and husband David of Kansas City, MO; 2 sons, Roger Williams and wife Carrie and Lester Michael Williams all of Kansas City, MO; a sister, Reba Gordon of Macon, MO; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; 2 sons, David Williams and Denver Lynn Williams; a daughter, Audrey Mattoon; brother, Clifford Lindley; a sister, Esther Todd and granddaughter, Megan Storms Huber.
