Marlene F. Williams
Whither shall I go from thy spirit, or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand leadeth me. Marlene, Independence, Missouri, never lost sight of His presence. She passed away January 21, 2010.
Born December 18, 1936 in Shreveport, Louisiana, Marlene graduated from Southern Nazarene University. She retired from the English department in Fort Osage School District, Independence, Missouri. She was a member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene. Marlene is preceded in death by her parents Pearl and Olie Forshee, sister, Mary Scott, and brother, Olie Forshee. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Loy Williams, two daughters, Greta Williams, Independence, Anna-Margaret Stigall, Overland Park, Kansas, four grandchildren, Baird and Hannah Williams, Jacqueline and Lauren Stigall, two sisters Evelyn Carr, Shreveport, Louisiana and Peggy Mervine, Easton, Maryland.
Funeral arrangements include visitation, 1:00 PM and service, 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 30 at Independence, Missouri Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 19800 E Truman Road, 816-796-2750, Pastor Wayne Nelson, officiating.
