Spc. Carl Andrew Williams, 27, former resident of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008 in Tacoma, WA. A visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 PM Sunday, December 7 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence. Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, December 8 at the chapel with burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to the City Union Mission.
Andrew was born January 28, 1981 in Independence to Michael and Cynthia (Prinz) Williams. He attended William Chrisman High School and then graduated from Park University with a degree in History. He later decided to join the U.S. Army where he served his country proudly for one and a half years and most recently had been stationed as a meteorologist at Ft. Lewis in Washington. Andrew was athletic, enjoying soccer and basketball, and loved to read and listen to music.
Andrew will be missed for his loving and happy nature by his parents, Michael and Cynthia Williams; sister Rosemary Shaw and husband John; his niece and nephew whom he loved dearly, Josephine and Max Shaw; grandparents: Carl and Reva Prinz, Wilma Williams, and John Williams; aunts and uncles: Vickie Barclay, Shellie Speer, Patti Pepper, Fred Williams and their families; cousins: Erin and Kelsey Barclay, Anna Speer, Jesse Speer, Jay Speer, Lesa Drummond, Lori Drummond, Matt Williams, Todd Pepper, Alan Williams and their families; and close friend, Brett Ames.
