Virginia Ann (Accurso) Williams, 83, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center surrounded by her family. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 in the chapel. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Virginia was born January 26, 1926 in Kansas City, MO to Jack and Jennie (Russo) Accurso. She graduated from Northeast High School. Virginia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Mrs. Williams enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Verne Malcolm Williams; son Mark Williams and wife Patti; daughter Janet Woodward and husband Les; grandchildren Caitlin and Zachary Williams; sisters Neva Nicholson, Anne McNeil; brother Vincent Accurso and wife Maria; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters Ninfa Accurso and Frances Kramos.
