Shirley Willis

Shirley Dale Willis, 76, of Greenwood Missouri, passed away on February 27, 2013 at North Kansas City Hospital. Shirley was born in Sioux City Iowa to John Dale and Mildred Mary Wilson on May 15, 1936. The family moved to Davis City Iowa where she was raised and eventually met Harlen Willis her husband of 56 years. Born to this union three daughters; Jackie Lynn Vermillion, Vickie Ann Reed, and Keli Rae Tolle. For the past 40 years they have lived in the Kansas City area. Shirley enjoyed doing ceramics, needle work and reading. She especially loved visiting with family and friends. Along with her friends and family, her dogs Jackson and Jessica brought her many happy days. Shirley was a very loving and caring person who was always available to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. She had an infectious laugh and enjoyed a good joke. Her favorite comedian was her husband. She touched many lives and she will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Harlen, her parents and her brother Joey. Shirley is survived by her daughters: Jackie, Vickie, and Keli, her sister Carol, grandchildren: Heather Haak (Aaron), Steve Lowman (Candence), Tyler Reed (Danielle), Cassandra Tolle (John), Kasey Tolle, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, niece Michelle Monnig (Jeff) and her beloved dogs Jackson and Jessica and her many friends.
