Nancy Jo Ann Wilson

Nancy Jo Ann Wilson, 75, of Independence MO went home to God on February 3, 2023. Nancy was born in Kansas City on August 28, 1947 to Carl and Betty Wilson. After graduating from Van Horn high school in 1965, Nancy started her career with Commerce Bank, retiring after 45 years. Nancy and her best friend Sue McInteer enjoyed sharing their lives with their much-loved pets, taking adventurous trips, and spending time with their families. She loved to garden and had a talent for baking and sewing, to the benefit of her family. She loved and is very loved by her family. She always looked forward to the picnics, birthday parties, bake days, and holidays full of love and fun chaos. Nancy was a true gift to all those around her with her loving heart. She is survived by her siblings: Judy Simmermon (Jim), Pat Cunningham (Charles), Bob Wilson (Linda), and David Wilson (RuthAnn) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, and friends. She will be deeply missed. Services will be at Carson’s Speaks Chapel on Friday, February 10 at 2pm, with a visitation starting at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to KC Pet Project or City Union Mission, organizations important to Nancy.
