Novella Wilson

Novella L. Wilson, 92 of Independence, MO formerly of Topeka, KS passed away Sun. Apr. 20, 2008 at her home. Services will be 10:00 am, Fri. Apr. 25, 2008 at the Carson- Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Indep. MO, followed by a Graveside service at 2:30 pm in Westlawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka, KS. Visitation will be from 7 �" 8:30 pm Thursday at the Chapel. Mrs. Wilson was born on Apr. 9, 1916 to James and Ida Mae Wasson in Belvedere, NE. She had worked for the State of Kansas Social Services as a Cottage Parent. Novella was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed caring for people and spending time with her family. She was a long time member of the Rebekahs Lodge, the VFW and the Eastside Baptist Church in Topeka. Novella was preceded in death by her husband Clyde in 1970. She is survived by a son, Orville Wilson of Independence, a brother, Dale Wasson of Deshler, NE and a sister Doris Broadfoot of Glendale, AZ. Two grandchildren, Jeff Wilson and Wendy Wilson-Settle. Five great grandchildren, Hannah, Shane, Brett, Zoe and Meghan.
