Twyla Maxine (Sproat) Wilson, 82, Independence, MO passed away Nov. 15, 2008. Services will be at 11 am, Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10 am. Committal services will follow at 2 pm at Adams Cemetery in Warrensburg, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Beverly Hills Baptist Church, 1229 W. 31st St., Independence, MO 64055.
Maxine was born April 16, 1926 in Warrensburg, MO. She graduated from Knob Noster High School and attended Sedalia Business College. During her college duration, she met a handsome soldier, Bill Wilson, who was stationed at nearby Whiteman AFB. They married following WW II, then moved to Independence and raised their family. She was a public relations representative for twenty-five years at the Bank of America branch on the Square in Independence and retired in 1987. She was a member of the Beverly Hills Baptist Church for fifty-two years and had served as Sunday School Director. She loved collecting angels and dolls, her Chiefs, Royals, Mizzou Tigers and flower gardening. She also enjoyed writing poetry and dancing. She was a great wife and mother. We will miss “Mud” dearly.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband William H. Wilson in 2004. She is survived by daughters Linda Baschnagel and husband Steve, Las Vegas, NV; Billie Bauer and husband Kelly, Overland Park, KS; Nicki Adler, Independence, MO; grandchildren Ryann Bauer, Derek Adler and Kylie Adler.
