Zora Lea Wilson, 93, of Independence, MO peacefully passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at her home with her family by her side. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 in the chapel. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Zora was born April 26, 1917 in Tunnel Hill, IL to Claude and Nettie (Sutton) Cavitt. She married Dale Choate in 1935 and lived in California. Two children were born to this union, Delores (Dodie) and David. The couple later divorced. Zora married Fred Wilson on February 15, 1991 and lived in Independence, MO. During her life, Zora was an LPN, a beautician and housewife. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, Farview Restoration Branch. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, bible study and making grape juice for her church. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her loving husband Fred Wilson; daughter Dodie Still; brother and sister-in-law Byford and Nancy Cavitt; step-sons Carl Wilson and wife Bev, Wilbur Wilson, Dale Wilson and wife Betty; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; six step grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren. Zora was preceded in death by her son David; sisters Halloween Liberto, Hilda Mae Newquist; brothers Ammon and Aaron Cavitt.
