John was born June 6, 1940 in Houston, TX. He graduated from Van Horn High School in the Class of 1958. He was the owner of Winslow Realty Company for thirty years until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed fishing for bass at Lake Jacomo, playing pool and was a huge Chiefs and Royals fan. John was a very social person who liked to give people a good-natured “hard time” and had many friends.
John was preceded in death by sons Frank Coleman and Stephen Scott. He is survived by his wife of fifty years Ann Winslow, of the home; daughter Catherine McKittrick-Wissing and husband Andrew Wissing; grandchildren Michael Stephen McKittrick; Jade McKittrick; Cooper Wissing, all of Overland Park, KS; brother Joe Valbuena and wife Donna, West Palm Beach, FL; half-brother Clark Winslow; half-sister Stella Janneth Winslow, both of Tampa, FL.
