Garland Wise

Garland Dean Wise, 87, of Kansas City, MO peacefully passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at his home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Burial in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Dean was born October 6, 1923 in Ridgeway, MO to Walter and Myrtle (Miller) Wise. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Pa loved his family dearly and they were the light of his life! He is survived by his children Barbara Harding and husband Sam, Linda Edmondson and husband Jim, Jeff Wise and wife Liz; grandchildren Brad and Heather Harding, Mindy Mittie and fiancé Mike Marra, Joelle and Jason Donoho, Jenny and Daniel Pace, Spencer and Hester Wise, Tyler, Dexter and Callie Wise; great-grandchildren Alex and Kaili Mittie, Faith and Sam Harding, Lane and Luke Donoho, Lily and Jack Pace, Paxton Wise; sister Norma Thompson and husband Hardy. Dean was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Gloria Wise on May 5, 2010.
