Gloria Ernestine Wise, 85, Kansas City, MO passed away Wednesday, May 05, 2010 at her home.
A Celebration of Gloria’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Gloria Wise was born April 7, 1925 in Martinsville, MO the daughter of Floyd Edward and Anna May (Wilson) Spencer. She was employed with McDonald’s on 50 Hwy in Raytown for 16 years as a morning crew chief, retiring in 1987. Gloria enjoyed gardening, canning, baking and was known for her cinnamon rolls.
Her parents and five sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Garland Dean Wise; daughters, Barbara Harding and her husband Sam of Blue Springs; Linda Edmondson and her husband Jim, Jr. of Cabot, AR; son Jeff Wise and his wife Liz of Parkville; eight grandchildren, Brad Harding (Heather), Mindy Mittie, Joelle Donoho (Jason), Jenny Pace (Daniel), Spencer (Hester), Tyler, Dexter and Callie Wise; nine great grandchildren; brother, Eddie Spencer of Savannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
