Frederick Witte

Frederick H. Witte, 95 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, May 23, 2003 at his home. Services will be 10 am Tuesday, May 27th at Speaks Suburban Chapel; with interment in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice. Frederick was born September 4, 1907 in Frederick, OK to Gustave and Augusta Witte. He was an assembler and foreman at Ford Motor Company during WW II, a mechanic with Moody Motor Co., and had retired from Olin Corp. (Lake City Arsenal). He was a member of the MOKAN Antique Gasoline Engine Association. Frederick was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Frances Aileene Witte and is survived by his son, Harold F. Witte; daughters, Muriel Dike, and Carol Campbell, all of Independence, MO; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, August Witte, and Victor Witte, both of Independence, MO. and many extended family.
