Dorothy Wolfe

Dorothy Jean Wolfe, 79 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at her residence. Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the chapel. Dorothy was born November 28, 1932 in Keithsburg, IL to Lonnie Lee and Florence Luetta (Lingafelter) Williams. She had worked as a factory worker for Gleasons Liquors for a number of years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Independence, MO. She was married to Marshall Wolfe, he preceded her in death in 1988. She is survived by; a son, Harold L. Williams of Independence, MO; a daughter, Darla Dyer of Boonville, MO; a brother, Donald Williams of St. Louis, MO; 7 grandchildren, Vincent Schafer, Phillip Schafer, Jennifer Williams Brown, Nicole Green, Penny Green, James Dyer and Kelley Dyer; 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Archie and her parents.
