Edgar Lee Wolfe, 86 of Kansas City passed away Sat. Feb 16, 2008 at his home. Services will be 2:00 pm, Wed. Feb. 20, 2008 at the Carson- Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Indep. MO. Burial in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 �" 8:30 pm, Tuesday at the chapel. Mr. Wolfe was born on Jul. 8, 1921 to Lewis and Nettie (Sullins) Wolfe in Prairie Home, MO. He retired from Walker Manufacturing and had owned and operated Ed’s Salvage and several area service stations. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed collecting junk and scrap metal, working on old cars and collecting miniature cars. But his most enjoyment in life came from his family and going to his farm. He was a proud veteran of WWII and had received a purple heart for being wounded in the Invasion of Normandy. Mr. Wolfe was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lora Wolfe, a grandson, Travis Wolf and a brother, Earl Wolfe. Edgar is survived by two sons, Donald Wolfe of Raytown and Bobby Wolfe and wife Vicki of Raytown. Three daughters, Delores Wolfe-Bailey and husband Kenneth of Holden, MO, Jeannetta Andrews and husband The Reverend James Andrews of Warsaw, MO and Diana Wolf and husband Frank of Mansfield, TX. A brother Ralph Wolfe of Deepwater, MO and two sisters, Bonnie Bondurant and Dottie Kellough, both of Blue Springs, MO. Six grandchildren, four step grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
