Frank Curtis Woodard

Frank Curtis Woodard, 90, Independence, Mo. formerly of Winterset, Ia., died Feb. 21, 2005 at Medical Center of Independence. Graveside services will be at 10 am, Friday, Feb. 25 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm, Thursday at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Frank was born July 15, 1914 in Adel, Iowa. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and a member of VFW Post #1000. He was a custodian for the Independence School District for many years and retired as the Chief Custodian at William Southern Elementary School in 1979. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma Jane Woodard, of the home; son Jerry Woodard and wife Ginny, Indep., Mo; sons Carl Stodgell and Howard Gauntz; daughter Collene Mustoe; granddaughter Heather McDonald; grandson Shawn McDonald, both of K.C., Mo; grandson Shannon McDonald, Indep., Mo; and four great-granddaughters, Erin, Claire, Sydney, and Samantha McDonald
