Kirby Woods, Sr.

Kirby Lee Woods, Sr, known to his friends as Lee passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at Rosewood Health Care.

A Celebration of Lee’s Life will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:00, Saturday at the funeral home.

Lee was born in 1920 at West Point, MS the son of Lee and Ozella. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Lee retired from Harvey Electric as an Electrician. He was a member of the Local IBEW #124. Lee was a member of the Blue Ridge Community of Christ Congregation for 60 years where he has served as Priest.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill.

Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Valeria; sons, Kirby and his wife Sue; and Larry; grandchildren, Karen and Rusty; great grandchildren; Lacy, Johnna, Caysen, and Chance; and his brother Skeeter and his wife June.
