Grace “Marie” Woody, 80 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, April 17, 2015. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations may be made in her name to St. Luke’s Hospice House. Marie was born July 26, 1934 in Independence, MO to Fred A. and Grace (Lamon) Inman and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked as a billing accountant for Tension Envelope and Clark Manufacturing. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, traveling, dancing and going to the casino’s. She was a member of the Jolly Lamplighters and had volunteered at the Palmer Center. She is survived by: a daughter, Kathy Woody of Kansas City, MO; two sons, William Woody and wife Sandra and Doug Woody all of Independence, MO; a brother Charles Inman and wife Earline of Concordia, MO; a granddaughter, Lisa Woody; two step grandchildren, Lee Dittmer and husband Jeff, and Alan Graves and wife Sarah and four step great grandchildren, Conner, Ashton, Lillian and Bradley.
